Alexandra Gemma Tebano

Born and raised in Schenectady, New York to two Southern Italian immigrants, Alexandra Tebano has been on Lifetime, HBO, Showtime, and the Oxygen Network. The films she's produced have been official selections at SXSW, USA Film Festival, and AFI Film Festival. Her films have also premiered on Showtime, HBO, and CNN. Her latest internationally acclaimed short film, “Tamar Rising”, won her several different nominations including Best Director at the Nice International Film Festival and London International Film Festival, Best Original Screenplay at the Nice International Film Festival, and Best Actress Awards at Madrid International Film Festival, Southern Europe International Film Festival, Antwerp International Film Festival, Nice International Film Festival, Madrid International Film Festival, and East Europe International Film Festival.

She graduated from NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated in the Art of Performance Through a Philosophical and Anthropological Lens. Taking classes everywhere from Tisch School of the Arts to Stern School of Business, she created a degree that focused on performance (be it film, theater, everyday social interactions, etc) and how that has been influenced by the different philosophies, religions, business practices, social norms, and even etiquette throughout the world. She also helped start and create NYU Embodied Magazine, a student-led and run Magazine that embraces beauty and brains from all cultures, ethnicities, and nationalities.

She now resides in Miami Beach, Florida and Brooklyn, New York where she writes and produces film and branded content. Her next projects are “Conversations with Courtney”, a podcast with a woman sentenced to life in prison for murdering her father, and “Living with Jaguars”, a  documentary based around saving the Jaguars in the Amazon.
